When the Sikh community started the ritual Anand Karaj, they took the support of Gurbani on the basis of the Shabad. The four Lavans completed the Anand Karaj in the Sikh way of life. But the meeting of two physical bodies is the external union of a man and a woman. On the other hand, in the spiritual world, the union of Atma with Paramatma is the internal union, the true Anand Karaj which is attained after intense mortification is spiritualism and which is achieved only after crossing the four stages of the spiritual sphere.
