Sikhism, initiated by Guru Nanak, has been the youngest of the major world religions. Sikh philosophy, distinct and different as it has been from all other religions, aims at the uplift of mankind, both in its spiritual as well as in the secular domain. The book discusses both the religious philosophy and social thought of the Sikh faith. It very boldly takes up the challenges facing the Sikhs today and tries to suggest a way out. These challenges are from within as well as without; it unreservedly attacks Christian proselytizing and the Hindutva ideology which tries to merge all religions of Indian origin in the vast umbrella of Hinduism.
